Possibilities for schools, pre-schools, vocational education and training and adult education

Erasmus+programme recognizes two statuses of participating countries: programme countries (European Union plus FYROM, Island, Lichtenstein, Norway and Turkey) and partner countries (countries neighboring EU, including Serbia, but other countries worldwide as well). Possibilities and actions within the programme depend on the county status.

The Republic of Serbia has started the preparatory measures for becoming a programme country, however, at the moment, schools, pre-schools, vocational education and training and adult education organizations can apply for Key Action 1(KA1) – Learning mobility of individuals, and Key Action 2 (KA2) – Cooperation for innovation and the exchange of good practices.Applications are submitted to the Foundation Tempus.

KA1 – Learning mobility of individuals

Erasmus+ programme supports mobility projects for the organizations active in the field of education, aiming: professional development of staff; foreign language skills improvement; raise of awareness and understanding of other cultures and countries; increase of the institutions and organizations active in the field of education capacity, as well as strengthening links between the formal and informal education, vocational training, employment and entrepreneurship.

Schools, pre-school institutions, organizations active in vocational education and training,  and adult education organizations, could have applied for Key Action 1 – Learning mobility of individuals. Call for proposal was announced in October, 2016, and the deadline for application submission was February 2017.

KA2 – Cooperation for innovation and the exchange of good practices – Strategic partnerships 

Strategic partnership projects support development, exchange and implementation of innovative practices and initiatives which promote cooperation, mutual learning and exchange of experience at European level. Secondary vocational schools and organizations active in the field of vocational education and training, can apply for Key Action 2 – strategic partnerships in the field of vocational education and training. Call for proposal has been announced in October, 2016, and the deadline for application submission is 29th of March, 2017.

Schools, pre-school institutions, organizations active in the field of vocational education and training and adult education can participate as partners (not project coordinators), in other types of projects, if they confirm additional value to the project application. Programme countries are responsible to submit these applications, and organizations from Serbia have the role of partners.

Projects that are submitted to the European Commission Executive Agency 

Schools and pre-school institutions are still able to participate in projects of centralized actions (applications are submitted to the Executive Agency), available in the past under the same conditions.
