“Active teaching and learning through eTwinning”

The aim of this seminar is to provide an opportunity for teachers from different countries to learn and discuss about active teaching and learning organized through eTwinning projects. Through networking and group work sessions the teachers will have an opportunity to create ideas for projects that they will subsequently implement in their work. Furthermore, the teachers will have an opportunity to find partners for KA1/KA2 projects. Through the presentations, the teachers will have an opportunity to learn about methods and strategies of active teaching and learning and what implications it has on students’ motivation and achievements. They will have an opportunity to see examples of good practice and how they are integrated into the school curriculum and everyday work. Furthermore, they will receive guidance on how to up-grade their existing project management skills.
Group work sessions will have a central place in the seminar. Through the group work sessions, the teachers will have an opportunity to discuss and exchange experience with their colleagues about active teaching and learning. Groups will work on developing projects on subject-specific topics, such as Maths through play, Rivers in Europe, Picture storytelling, Water cycle, Games of our region, Geometry in action, etc. They will be able to create projects in cooperation with their colleagues that they can implement after the seminar.
