The European Education and Culture Executive Agency (EACEA) in Brussels has published the 2026 call for the submission of project proposals under Partnerships for Innovation: Forward-Looking Projects in the fields of higher education, which involves two types of projects:
– European Degree Pathway Projects, and
– Leadership Development programme for higher education institutions’ leaders.
The call is open from December 3, 2025 to March 3, 2026, to all higher education institutions, public or private organizations active in education and training, as well as quality assurance associations.
This call allocates a total of eight million euros to finance these projects, which aim to support partnerships in designing and implementing the necessary activities to enable the rollout of the joint European degree label and pave the way for the establishment of a possible joint European degree label in all fields, including certain specific disciplines, as well as the development of leadership competencies that enable transformative changes in higher education in Europe. In response to the changing geopolitical climate, social challenges, technological advancements, new models of teaching and learning, collaboration with a wide range of stakeholders, as well as the increased scope of European higher education cooperation, there is a need to develop diverse leadership skills in the face of constantly changing challenges.
To further promote the call, the European Education and Culture Executive Agency (EACEA) will organize an open online info session for all interested parties on Tuesday, January 13, 2026, 10:00 – 13:30 (CET).
